Old Orchard Cottage Old Orchard is a well-equipped, detached cottage on the edge of the village of Uplyme. The rear garden overlooks fields and the rest of the village and at the front there is a pretty cottage garden. There is a delightful sitting room with a stereo and TV, and a coal-effect enclosed stove. The kitchen is fully fitted and incorporates a comfortable dining area. The accommodation has one double bedroom, and two twin bedrooms (one of which is on the ground floor). All rooms have views over local countryside which adjoins the rear garden. On a clear day you can even see Golden Cap! Other facilities include an automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. Enclosed garden has a patio with garden furniture and parking for three cars. Duvets and pillows are provided. Lyme Regis town is only 1.5 miles away and provides interesting and varied shopping. Lyme also boasts a wealth of history, literary associations, geology, fossil collecting and safe bathing. There are several restaurants including specialist fish restaurants, and real ale pubs which often offer live music. There are many summer festivals, concerts and carnivals in the area. Weymouth, Taunton, Exeter and Dorchester are all within a 25 mile radius. The nearest railway station (Waterloo to Plymouth line) is in the market town of Axminster, which is 4 miles from Lyme Regis. The nearest shop is within 1/2 a mile.
